Module 3’s language bank is what I still open before Works Council meetings. The interruption drill was uncomfortable in a useful way—I talk too long when I feel cornered.
Flagship program
Mediation Preparation Lab
A five-session sequence for HR, managers, and employee representatives who must walk into workplace mediation in Germany with a shared, disciplined brief.
Learning outcomes
Produce a one-page issue map that separates facts, impacts, and open requests.
Draft opening statements that survive interruption without collapsing into accusation.
Identify topics that belong in mediation versus those that need formal employment process.
Coordinate a private prep check-in for each side without leaking strategy into the joint room.
Modules
- Module 1 — Conflict archaeology Reconstruct the timeline with timestamps, witnesses, and missing documents. We stop at what mediation can hold.
- Module 2 — Stakeholder brief Map who must be informed, who decides, and who only observes—especially when a Works Council is involved.
- Module 3 — Language bank Replace heated phrasing with precise, German-workplace-appropriate alternatives that still sound human.
- Module 4 — Live interruption drill Practice with silence, partial concessions, and a facilitator who redirects. Record what you over-explain.
- Module 5 — Exit and follow-through Define success short of full harmony: meeting notes, check-ins, and what happens if talks stall.

Reviews from this program
Clear structure. I wanted more sample clauses for settlement language; they correctly refused because that edges into legal drafting.
FAQ
Is this legal advice for German employment law?
No. The lab prepares communication and process hygiene for mediation. Employment law questions belong with your counsel or in-house legal team.
Can both parties attend the same cohort?
Only when both sides explicitly agree and a facilitator sets confidentiality rules. Otherwise we run parallel prep tracks.
What is a real limitation of this lab?
We cannot rescue a mediation that management or employee representatives have already decided to treat as theater. If a party refuses good-faith participation, preparation improves clarity—not outcomes.
Do you run sessions in English or German?
Cohorts are offered in English by default on this site; German-language labs are scheduled on request for Schworstadt and remote groups.
